Christmas Quilting and a Winner

Thanks so much to everyone who has stop by my little blog this week and entered the giveaway. I just love Sew Mama Sew's giveaway week. It's so fun finding new blogs and entering all the great giveaways. So thanks to everyone who participated!
The name that was drawn to win a copy of Camille Roskelley's book Simply Retro is....drumroll please... Karrie S.! Congrats! I have emailed her to let her know.

And now on to more quilty goodness!
I am loving all the Christmas quilts that I have been able to quilt! Marissa sent over these awesome quilts that she made for gifts this year. She loves to change out her bedding for the holidays and is giving these huge king size quilts to family members so they will also be able to enjoy doing the same thing.

The first quilt is an all over pattern of snowflakes. I quilted a different quilt using snowflakes last year and Marissa really liked it so we decided to go with the same pattern. You can see how great it looks in this picture above.
The next quilt is such a fun one! The minky strips are so soft and I love all the paper pieced Santa's that she added in. You can see how she used the minky to add texture to Santa's beard and hat, so creative!
I used an all over pattern of jingle bells, but of course cut out and outlined the Santa's.
Thanks Marissa for letting me quilt for fun projects. I'm sure your family members will love them!
