Yay, it's finally finished! I pieced this cute Christmas quilt a few years ago at a quilting retreat that my mom, sisters and I go on each year. It then sat in my closet waiting to be quilted. I decided this was the year! I had to post of close-up of the quilting because it turned out so cute with all these snowflakes.
I found the blue minky for the back on sale and so I grabbed the last of it and headed over to another fabric store to get the rest...well they were sold out too. So I grabbed all of the red minky that they had and went to yet another fabric store where they were sold out of the blue and the red so I decided on a third color, green. After getting it all home, I realized that I had figured out the yardage wrong so I just used all my scraps from the front to piece the remaining back. I was a little nervous how it would turn out, but I love how bright it is!
This will be the perfect quilt to snuggle with my kids tonight while we watch our favorite classic Christmas movie, Home Alone. What's your favorite Christmas movie to watch with your kids?
