Moms are great - Giveaway!

GIVEAWAY IS CLOSED. WINNER WILL BE ANNOUNCED MONDAY.

UPDATE: By happy accident, I found out that sewmamasew.com is hosting a giveaway day this week. Head over to enter to win a ton of great prizes!

In honor of Mother's day this coming weekend, I wanted to give a shout out to my mom, Laurie. She has always been my very best girlfriend, although now that I have my spunky little girl there is a bit of competition. She has always been a great listener, whether it was talking about boys at recess, friends in high school, or now my own kids, she is always willing to listen. She always made an effort to be at all my dance recitals and cheerleading competitions while growing up. She never misses a birthday or holiday for me, my husband or our 4 kids. She was even at my bedside when I woke up in the ICU on the same day that she had surgery to have her breast cancer removed. She does all of this times 7! Seven of us kids have been blessed enough to get to have her as a mom. She truly is so amazing.
Since this picture, we've added 4 new baby girls,
one son in law and one daughter in law.
I absolutely love being a mom and can't imagine my life any other way but being a mom isn't always easy, we don't often put our wants before our kids and sometimes it's fun to have something that's just for us, so I thought it would be fun to do a little giveaway for all you moms, aunts, sisters, and women!
I couldn't decide which fabric line I liked better, so I just got them both. We all do this, right? So you get to decide which bundle is your favorite plus we will give you a gift certificate up to $100 for long arm quilting!
To enter the giveaway all you need to do is leave us a comment letting us know what you love most about your mom or about being a mom. Easy as that! You can tell me which fabric you like better too if you want.
Existing and new followers can get an extra entry by following my blog on bloglovin. Just come back and leave a comment letting me know that you've done so.
Also, don't forget to leave an email address or some way for us to contact you if you win. Giveaway will be open until midnight on Friday.

And for the month of May we will be offering 20% off of our long arm quilting services! So now is the time to get some quilting done at an ever better price. Just email us at ChocolateDippedQuilts@gmail.com to get started.

Also, I just signed up to use bloglovin and so far I am lovin it! Feel free to follow my blog by clicking on the link on my right sidebar or by clicking here.

I live far away from my mom, so I love it when she sends me pictures of what she's up to. I gave her an iPad and I'm also glad I wasn't there to teach her how to use it ;) Thanks for the chance to win!

There are so very many things I love about being a mommy... I was 37 and spent 15 years as a nanny, before I had my sweet, sassy, smart, strong, splendiferous daughter. The best thing is, at the end of the day, she's mine. I don't have to give her back. I'll never leave her. (And after all the families I've nannied for and kids I've loved and invested in, let me tell you, that's no small thing!) I am blessed and oh so very, very grateful!!

Valerie said...

I love everything about being a mom, I loved the newborn stage where I was their entire world, I love as they've grown how excited they are to show me things, and how much they want to just be with me. I worry a little about how hard it's going to be when they're teens and don't want to hang out with me all of the time, but I know whatever comes I'll navigate it, and probably love it too.

I love how encouraging and supportive my mama is. How I always feel she will have my back and tell me the truth, even if I don't want to hear it. I love that she laughs with her children and has always given us such wonderful memories. I am grateful that she is a great friend to me, but a mom first. I am a brand new mama and my favorite part so far has just been staring at my little guy and daily marveling at the miracle of such a sweet baby

I love EVERYTHING about my cute little Mum. I wish I didn't live half a world away from her, that's for sure. But I'm grateful for Skype, just seeing her sweet face makes my day. We send fabrics to each other all year, so that it feels a little like we're sewing together :)

The best part about being a mom today at this very moment would be the fact that my 3 year old is just bursting with a surprise she has made for me in pre-school. She can barely contain herself, she wants to tell me about it so bad. It's so cute! I love all the spray painted macaroni presents I get from my two little ones.

PS: Logan is an awesome name - mainly because it's the name of my 6 yr old. Yay! :D

I can share my "awesome thing that happened this week" story.

Earlier this week, I sent my girls (6 and 4) to take up the diaper pail bag to the garbage. When they came back in, they each had a huge handful of bluebells they had picked for me just because they love me! Its things like this that make me love being a mom.

My favorite thing about being a mom (so far, he's only 20 months old, so I'm sure this will change as he gets older or as we have more) watching him learn and grow every day. I love my mum for too many reasons to list. We've always had a great relationship and I cherish it. Having daughters was always my wish so I could have the same sort of relationship from the other side of the equation. Watching my girls develop into young ladies is the most amazing thing.

Thanks so much for the chance to win. I love both bundles but if push came to shove and I had to choose I think I would go with the Locally Grown.
